AN ORDINANCE OF 'THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STA~`E OF CAZTFORNTA,
PROHIBITING USE OT' COUNTY HTGHWAYS~Y COMP'~RCTAL VEHICLES
EXCEEDING A GROSS WEIGHT OF 14,000 LBS.
(Vehicle Code Section 35712)

THE Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does. ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Tn accord with Vehicle Gode Section 35712, commercial
vehicles exceeding a gross weight of 14,000 lbs. are hereby prohibited fram
using the following cot.nty highways, to wit:
A. On Estates Drive fram Oroville-Chico Highway to State Highway 99.
Oroville-Chico Highway is hereby designated as an alternate route.
B. Ender Avenue from Midway to 0.7 mile northeasterly. Midway,
East ]'ark Avenue .and State Highway 99 are hereby designated as an alternate rout
SECTION 2: 'I~.at appropriate signs sha11 be erected indicating the
highway affected by this ordinance, it being determined that such signing will
best serve to give notice of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately and before
the expiration of fifteen (l5) days after its passage, it shall be published
once with the names of the members voting for and against the same once in a
local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California. This
ordinance is passed for the preservation of the public peace, health and
safety in that the road covered herein will be damaged by vehicles exceeding
the gross weight of 14,000 pounds, that the road cannot sustain vehicles of
said weight and that if vehicles of said weight are not prohibited from said
.road the public safety will be endangered because of probable accidents with
resulting personal injury.
