OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "AR-l"~IH-5" (AGRICULTURAL
RESIDENTIAL-MOBILE HOME) DISTRICT

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and puxsuant to Chapter 2-4-30 of the Butte Count'y'.
Cade, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as fo11o~,~s:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area s~.tuated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as a "AR-MH-S" (Agricultural Residential-h~abile dome - 5 acre
parcels) District for a period of one hundred tt~renty {120) days,
and such area shall, be subject to the restrictions and restricted
uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated
area of Butte County, southeast of.Oroville, more particularly
clescrxbed as follo~tirs
PARCEL ONE: The W 1/2 of the E I/2 of the NW 1/4
of the SW 1/4 of the SE l/4 of Sec. 26, Tl9N, R4E,
MDB ~M.
PARCEL T~S~D: The W 1/2 of the NW 1/~ of the SW l/4
of the SE 1/4, less that portion of the W 2 rods
thereof as described in Deed from George W. Snyder
to George H. Van Vliet, dated August 24, 1900 and
recorded August 25, 1900, xn Book 52 of Deeds, at
Page 261, records of Butte County, California, in
Section 26, T19N, R4E, MDBF~TI.
PARCEL THREE: The W I/2 of the S~•d 1/4 of the NW lJ4
of the SE 1/4 of Sec, 26, TI9N, R4E, MDB~M, less the
W 2 rods and Tess that portion of land in said parcel
as conveyed by Theodore F. Lofberg, et ux, to Roy N.
Holcomb, et ux, by Deed dated January l3, 1951 and
recorded January 16, 1951, in Book 561, at page 494,
official records of Butte County, State of California.
PARCEL FOUR: The W.1/2 of the SE 1/4 df the St•Y I/4
of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 26, T19N, R4E,
I~iDBF~M, less that portion of Land in sand parcel as
conveyed by Theodore F. Lofberg, et ux to Roy N.

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN"AR-i~IH-5" DISTRICT.

District:
{A) USES PERMITTED:
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel.
Z. Mobile homes to house one family, when such mobile
home is the only housing facility located an the prem~
ices, provided the following condition is conformed
to:
a. The grass area of the mobile home shall not be
less than five hundred (500) square feet,
3. Accessary buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
4. I;ivestock, subject to requirements as follows: j
a. P~~inimum lot area to be devoted to residential use{~
shall not be less than five (5) acres.
b. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
use, the following lot or parcel areas shall be
required far each animal raised ar kept an the
premises:
1. For each horse or head of cattle over one [1)
year of age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-
five {$, 125) square feet.
2. Fox each head of s~~~ine over ten {lb) ti~seeks of
age, eight thousand-one hundred twenty-five

permitted subject to securing a use permit in each case:
1. Duplex dt4~ellings and multiple-family dwellings.
2. Golf courses, country cluUs, if permitted, would per-
mit accessory u5e5 such as driving range, pro shop,
cocktail bar, restaurant.
3. Public and quasi-public uses including churches, fire
houses, hospitals, parks and. playgrounds, schools aa~.d
public utility buildings.
4. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming,
S. Weterinary clinics, outpatient.
6. Nurseries and plant gardens.
(C) LOT AREA REQUIRED: A4inimum lot area of a lot per
dwelling unit shall be not less than five (5) acres.
(D) LOT WIDTH REQUIRED: i~linimum lot width shall not be
less than one hundred thirty (130) feet.
(E} FRONT YARb REQUIRED: A~iinimum front yard sha11 be
fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except
15rhere the road is classified by the county as a Federal
Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback recluixe-
ment sha11 be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline
of the road.
(F) SIDE AND REAR YARD REQUIRED: Minimum side or rear
yaxd shall not be less than ten (10) feet.
SECTION 3. All uses of Land within the district not

specifically authorized and permitted are praIiibited.
_ -SECTION 4. This -urgency Ordinance sha-~:l take effect - _ _, .
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(1S) days after its passage sha11 be published once ~tiTith the names
of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
the saute in the Oroville_Mexcury, a newspaper in general circulatia
in the County of Butte, State of California. The fact cons'~ituting
the urgency on which this Ordinance is based is:
1. To protect the health, welfaxe and safety of the
public.

County of Butte, State of Califoxnia, on the 13th day of January,
1981, by the follat~ring vote:
