AN INTERIM ORDINANCE AMENDING CHARTER 24 OF THE
BUTTE COUNTY CODE FOR "AS-R" (AGRICULTURAL SUB-
URBAN-RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICTS
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, undex and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of the Butte ~Ceunty
Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 24-99 of the Butte County Code :is
hereby amended for a period of one hundred and twenty (l20) days .to
read as follows:
X24--99. A-SR (Agricu~.tural-Suburban Residential.} Zone.
(A) USES PERMITTED
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel, not including
tents or mobile.homes.

2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
3. Agricultural uses, except livestock subject to the
following requirements.
{a} Fox each horse or head of cattle aver one ye'':ar of
age, one-half acre, t~,=enty-one thousand seven:
hundred eighty {21,780) square feet.
(b) For each head of swine over ten (10} ~<<eeks o~;age,
one-half acre, twenty one thousand.seven hundred
eighty (21,780) square feet.
(c) For each head of sheep or goats, one quarter acre,
ten .thousand eight hundred ninety (10,890} square
feet .
(B} LOT AREA: Minimum required area of lot per dwelling
unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five (8 } 12 ~} square ~~eet .
(C) LOT ~VIDTH: Minimum lot ttiridth shall be not less khan

sixty-five (b5} feet.
(D) FRDNT YARD: Minimum front yard sha11 be fifty {SO)
feet from the centerline of the road except where the
road is classified by the County of Butte as a Federal. Aid

Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement
shall be .fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of said
road.
(E) SIDE AND REAR YARD REQUTRED: Minimum side and year
yaxd sha11 not be less than five (S) feet.
(F} USES REQUIRING USE PERA~ITS: The following uses .are
permitted subject to securing a use permit in each case-
1. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches;,;,
hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and pu,b~ic
utility buildings. "'

2. Nurseries and plant gardens.
3. Sales tract office.
SECTION 2, This urgency ordinance shall take effect'
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
the same in the f~lroville Mercury a newspaper in general circulation
in the County of Butte, State of California, The facts consituting
she urgency on which this Ordinance is based are:
