BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 2212
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHIlVG SPEED LIMITS ON CONKERS AVENUE
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Cade of the State
of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a prima
facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of Twenty-five (25) Miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES signs
j be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highway
to wit:
CONKERS AVENUE from ESPLANADE to EAST AVENUE
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed,
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
five or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public-Works of the County of Butte is
,hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limits established herein within thirty (30} days of the adoption hereofo
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage, it sha11 be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,

once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the ~f~i-h day
