AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON OBERMEYER AVENLiE
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter des-
cribed comes within the provisions of Section 2235$ of the Vehicle Cade of
the State of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per
hour is mare than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and
declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five {35) miles per hour is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES

signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highway to wit:
OBERMEYER AVENUE from GILSTRAP AVENUE to lARILIN ROAD
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and the
invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or team thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
hive ar invalid,
Section- 4:: The Department of Public Works of -the ..County .o.f .:Bu<t:te is...:
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima Facie
speed limits established herein within thirty {30) days of the adoption
hereof.

'phis ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
Califoznia.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 19th day
of ~~ May' , 1981, by the following vote:
