BUTTE COUNTY CODE FOR "R-N" {RESIDENTIAL.-NON-

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Chapter 24-30 of the Butte County
Code, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 24-149A of the Butte County Code is
hereby amended for a period of one hundred and twenty {120) days to
read as follows:
X24-149A. R-N {Residential Nonconforming) Zone.
(R) USES PERMITTED
1. One single-family dwelling per parcel including trail-,
ers or mobile homes,
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
3. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles).
{B) THE FOLLOWING USES ARE SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PER-
MIT IN EACH CASE:
1. Duplex dwellings and multiple family dwellings.
`2, Public and quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
houses, has~pitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and
public utility buildings.

{D) FRONT YARD REQUIRE~IENTS:
-The standard provision of Section 24-83 shall apply,
except the setback of nonconforming existing structures are being
rehabilitated ar expanded.

The minimum side yard required is three (3} feet,
provided the sum of both side yards shall be equal to or greater th
ten (lO} per cent of the average lot width, bJhere nonconforming
existing structures are being rehabilitated ar expanded, the minima
side yard shall be the existing setback distance on that side.
(F} REAR YARD REQUIREMENTS: ~~,
The standard provisions of Section 24-33 sha11 apply.'
(G) OFF STREET PARKING;
The provisions of Section 24-35 notwithstanding, one
off-street parking space shall be required per dwelling unit. This
(requirement is waived where existing off-street parking space is
absorbed by expansion of an existing dwelling as part of an approves
rehabilitation project of the County's housing and community develo}
~ment program.
SECTION 2. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
.immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
I(15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against
the same in the OrovilleMercury~ a newspaper in general circulation
in the County of Butte, State of California. The fact consituting
the urgency on which this ordnans:e..is based is;

County of Butte, State of California, on the 26th day of May, 1981,
