HomeMy WebLinkAbout2234ORDINANCE N0. 223+ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26B (Mechanical) OF THE BUTTE GOUNTY CODE 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California 2 DO ORDAYN AS FOLLOWS: 3 Section 1 4 That Section 26B°3 of the Butte County Code is amended to read as follows: b Sec. 26B=3. Amendments, additions and deletions. 8 The Uniform Mechanical Code as adopted by section 268-1 is 7 amended as follows; 8 Sections 202 and 243 of the Uniform Mechanical Code are here- 9 by deleted. 10 Section 301 of the Uniform Mechanical Code is hereby amended I1 by the addition of the follawimg paragraphs: 12 9. No permit shall be required far any agricultural buildings. 13 Agricultural building is defined as follows: Agricultural 14 building is a structure designed and constructed to house 15 farm iu~plements, hay, grain, poultry, livestock or other 16 horticultural products. This structure shall not be a place 17 of human habitation or a place of employment where agricultural 18 products are processed, treated or packaged; nor shall it be a 19 place used by the public, 20 No permits shah. be required for detached structures which -" 21 _ .. `"have a total `net area; includ"ing addition"s; of"'i~ot-mare -than 22 two hundred (200) square feet, which would have an occupancy 2~ classification of Type M as defined in the Uniform Building '~4 Code, and which would be detached a minimum of six (6) feet ~ from any building requiring a building pe~xnit. Section 303(li) of the Uniform-Mechanical Code is amended to read as follows: Every mechanical. permit issued under the provision of this ordinance shall expire by limitation and become nu 11. and void after one (1) year from the date of issuance of sa~:d permit; provided, however, if said mechanical. permit is issued in con3unction with a building permit, said mechanical permit will remain active as long as the building permit is active. Section 303 of the Uniform Mechanical Cade is amended by the addition of paragraph (c) as follows: (c) A mechanical permit may be transferred from the original pexxnittee to another person due to a change in owner- ship or contractor. Section 303(d) of-the Uniform Mechanical. Code is hereby amended to read. as follows: Penalty fees shall be as specified in a resolution of fees as adopted by the Butte County Board oft Supervisors. Section 304 of the Uniform Mechanical Code is amended to read as follows: Pe'zmit fees shall'be..as §pecified'in a resolution of ees .._ ._ as adopted by the Bute County Board of Supervisors. Section 710(e} of the Uniform Mechanical Code is hereby amended to read as follows: (e) Platform.
