AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24.0E 1:HE BUTTE
COUNTY CODE, "A-SR" (AGRICULTURAL-SUBURBAN
RESIDENTIAL )..DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 24-99 of the Butte County Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
ss24-99. A-SR {Agricultural-Suburban Residential) Zone.
(A) USES PERMITTED:
1. One sing1e~-family dwelling per parcel, not including
tents or mobile homes.
2. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
3. Agricultural uses, except livestock subject to the
following requirements.
a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year ofl
age, one-half acre, twenty-one thousand seven
hundred eighty (21;780) square feet.
b. For each head of swine aver ten (i0) weeks of age,
one-half acre, twenty-one thousand seven hundred
eighty (21,780) square feet.
c. For each head of sheep or goats, one-quarter acre,
ten thousand eight hundred ninety (10,890) square
feet.
(B) USES REQUIRING -USE -PERM=ITS. :. The fo owing.uses are

permitted subject to securing a use permit in each case:
1. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches,
hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public
utility buildings.
2, Nurseries and plant gardens.

3. Sales tract office.
(C) LOT AREA: Minimum required area of lot per dwelling
unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundre
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
(D) LOT WIDT1~: Minimum lot width shall be not less than
sixty--five (65) feet.
(E) FRONT YARD: {~inimum front yard shall be fifty (5O)
feet from the centerline of .the road except where the
road is classified by the County of Butte as a
Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building set-
back requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet from t e
centerline of said road.
(i=} SIDE AND REAR YARD REQOIP,ED: Minimum side and rear
yard shall not be less than five (5) feet.
SE"CTION 2. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30")
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
:fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against i t i n the Chico Enterprise Record ,a
