ORDINANCE APPOINTING SHERIFF AS EX OFFICIO
MARSHAL FOR CHICO JUDICIAL DISTF.ICT AND AS
EX OFFICIO CONSTABLE FOR BIGGS, OROVILLE
AND PARADISE JUDICIAL DISTRICTS
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, do ordain, in accordance with the Charter of the
County of Butte, Article V, Section 3, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2-26.1 is hereby added to Article V
of Chapter 2 of Part II of the Butte County Code, to read as
follows:
"Section 2-26.1 Sheriff Ex Officio Marshal,
Ex Officio Constable.
"The Sheriff of the County of Butte is
hereby appointed as ex officio marshal
for the Chico 3udicial District, and as
ex officio constable for the Biggs,
Oroville and Paradise Judicial Districts."
SEGTION 2. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty
{30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration
of fifteen (l5) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be
published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Oroville Mercury
Register, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State
of California.
