ORDINANCE A[~ENDING SECTION 2-26.1 OF
ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 2 OF PART II
OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE, APPOINTING
SHERIFF AS EX-OFFICIO CONSTABLE FOR
GRIDLEY .IUDICIAL DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, do ordain, in accordance with the Charter of the
County of Butte, Article V, Section 3, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2-2b.1 of Article V of Chapter 2 of
Part II of the Butte County Cade, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 2-2b.1 Sheriff Ex Officio Marshal,
Ex Officio Constable.
"The Sheriff of the County of Butte is hereby
appointed as ex officio marshal for the Ch~.co
.iudicial District, and as ex officio constable
for the Biggs, Gridley, Oroville and Paradise
Judicial Districts."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall ~be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3Q)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be

published once with the names of the menr~bers of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Oroville Mercury
Register, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
PASSED AND ADOi'TED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of isutte, State of California, on Decem}~er 1 _~ 1981
by the following vote:
AYES : Supervisors Dolan, Saraceni and Wheeler
NOES : Chairman Moseley
ABSENT: None
