AN ORD~NANCE PROV~DING ~OR JUROR FEES
The Board of Supervisors of t~e County o~ Butte, State
af Ca~ifornia, DO ORDAIN as fo~lows:
Sectzon l: In accordance with Cali~ornia Code o~ Civi1
Procedu~e Section 196, as a~~nded by the Statutes of 1984, Chapter
1540, the fee ~or trail jurors in the superior, municipal, and
justice courts, in civil cas~s, i~ Ten Dollars ($10.00) a day far
~ach day's a~~endance as a juror; and, trial jurars in ~he supe~ioY
municipal, and just~ce courts sha~~ be rezmbursed for mileage at
the rate of Fi~teen Cents ($0.15) per mile for each m~~e ac~ually
traveled in a~tend~ng court as a juror, in going only.
Section 2: In accordance with California Pe.rial Code
5ection ~143, as amended by ~he Statutes of 1984, Chapter 1640,
the fee for trial jurors ~n the superior, municipal, and justzce
courts, in c~imznal cases, is Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each day's
att~ndance; and, trzal jurors in ~~e supe~iar, municipal, and
justice cou~ts shall be reimbursed for mileage a~ the rate of
Fifteen Cents ($0.15) per mile fo~ each mile necessari~y traveled
in afi~ending cour~, in gaing anly.
Section 3: ~his ordinance is hereby and it~is declared
~o be in f~ll force and effect from and after thirty (30) days
after the date of its passage, ana before the expira~ion o~ fifteei
(15} days a~~er its passage, this ordina~ce shall ~e published oncE
with the name5 of the members o~ t~e Boar~ of S~pervisor~ vo~~ng
for and agains~ it in ~he ___Oraville_Mercu~y ~~~ ~, ~
