Sec~.ions 24-132, 24--138, 24-1~1, and 24-~144 of th~ ~utte County Code are hexebq deleted in their entirety. SECTIdN 2. Section 24--I3Q of the Butte County Code is hereby added to read as follows: Section 24-130 Residentia~ or "R" Zone. Section 24-130.1 PURPOSE AN- IN~ENT T~ ~.s the purpose and inCent of the Residential or "R" zone Co provide suitable areas and environments for famii~.es, individual o~wners and renters in sma~.ler, relatively compact, multiple family, common Yaail d~cvellings. The "R" zone fs intended to provide for a mixture o~ housing types including detached single family, dupJ.ex, triplex, ~ownhouses, condom~.niu~ns, apartments and mohile home parks developed ta higher densities. The "R" zane is intended to stabilize neighborhoods of these dwelling types by protecting ~.hem from encroachmen~ bq incompatib].e and poten~ially destructive uses, The "R" zone w~.3.1 be applied withi.n the uxban communities o~ Butte County designated far Low, Mediunn, and High Dens~ty Residentia~ development whexe urban services are naore fully developed.
