7he Board of Supervisors of the Co~anty of Butte, State of

Section 1. Sectia~ 19-1'! of tf~e Bu~te County Code a.s
hereby amended to read as fo~.Iaws:
§19-11. Location af systems.
Any sewage disposal systEm cons~ruc~.ed under
the pro~is~.on af t~ris chap~er shall be located in aecordance with
~he recommendations of the county health afficer. T~e minimu~
distances allowed are set ~or~.h zn Tab].e I below.

Except that sewage disPosaJ. systems constructed
on pa~ce~.s created prior to April 4, 1974, anci upon whicF~ the health
of~'ic~r has determined that there is inadequate area to obtain ti~e
distances requi~ecE i.n Tab1e I above, shali be located ir~ accordance
witf~ the minim~m distances set forth in Table TI below.

1 Separation distance requirements From drainage

4 Notwithstanding the above, if the water from a
5 public or private drainage c#~annel has been di~erted such that the
6 c~annel no iange~ provides drainage, then the separation distance
7 requirements of ~ab].e I shali not be applicable to ~hat channe~.
8 With respect to the repair of existing sewage
9 disposa]. systems, the health officer may allow such lesser distances
~~ as he sha3.J. determine are necessary ~o avoid undue hardship, but
11 that w.i~.l aecomplish the general purpo~e anci intent of thi5 chapter.
X2 Section 2. This ordina~ce is hereby and it is declared
13 to be in fu~l Force a~rd effect from and after thirty (30) days
14 aFter t~e date of its passage, and b~fore the expiration of fifteen
15 (15) days after its passage, this ardinance sha11 ~e published once
~~ witfi~ the names of the membe~s of the Board o~' Supervisors vnting
~7 for and agains~ it in th~ OrovilZe Mercury ~~
