That Chap~er 15-85 nF the Bu~te Caunty Code is h~reby amended to read as follaws: §15-85 Rules and regulations for cardraoms. It shall be unlawful to operate a eardroom i~ vialation of any of the following regulatians and rules: (a) Location. Not more than one cardroam shall be located at a~y one address. (b) Visibilit~+. Cardrooms shall be located and so arranged that card tables and the players at the ta~les shall be ~lainly visi~le fro~ the fran~ dDO~ opening to the cardroom whe~ the doar is opened. Na wall, pa~tition, screen o~ similar structure between ~he fran~ door opening and any card table located in the cardroam shall be perm~tted i~ it interferes wi~h s~ch visi~ility. (c} Minors. ~o minars s~all be permitted a~ any card table, nor sha~l par~icipate in any ga~e played thereat. (d) Hours of o era~ion. All cardrnams Snaii be closad at 5:0~ a.m. and sha11 r~mai~ elosed until 9:00 a.m. Cardrooms may operate se~en (7} days a week, (e) Police ins ec~ion. AI1 cardraoms s~all be ope~ to police inspection durzng all hours of operation. (~) DoorS to be unlncked. Each card table sha11 have a5signed to it a person whose duty shall be ta super~ise the game and tn see ~.hat it is played strictly in accordance wa.th the terms of this article and with the provisians of ~he Penal Code af the state. This person may fi~ave mare than ane ~able under his super~ision. (h) Sa.c~ns to ~e po_sted. 7here shall be posted in every cardroom in Ietters plainly visible from al.l parts thereof, signs stating ~hat no ga~e except pangini, Iawba~..l or draw poker, withaut . variat~.ons as de~'ined by Hoy3.e, shall ba p~.ayed in the eard~oom. ~hese signs shall al.so contain such other information re~ating ta tf~e regula~.ions contained he~ein as ti~e sheriff ~ay require, including the amaunt of the time-charge far par~.icapation. (i) Intax~cated persons. No person who is in a state of intoxi- cation shall be permitted in a carciroom. (j) "Cuts" of pots. 7he operator a~' a carc~raom shall establish a ~easonable ti~ne-charge to customers ar~d there shall nat be permi~.ted any "rake-off" ar "cut" of any pots or faets. (~} "Shi11s." No operator nor emP.loyee may use a"shi11" ir~ any card game unless a work permit is obtained under section 15-79 and a copy af saroe is posted in a conspicuous piace on the premises. (1) 5olicitation of la ers. No cardroom operator or employee shall solicit or induce a person to partieipate i~ a card game by offering or providing to sucF~ person free fond or drink. Operatars and employees are ~eq~ired to exhibit their permits on demand of any law enforcement of~icer. Section 2. 7has ardinance is hereby and it is daclared to be in full force and effect from and af~er thirty (30) days after the date o~ its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ardinance shall be pu~lis~ed once with the ~ames of the members of the Board of Su~ervisors voting for and agai.nst it in the ~~~GO ~r~terprise Record , a newspaper publisf~ed in t~e County of Butte, State of California.
