QRDINANCE ALETHORIZING DEFERRi~ENT OF UNPAID N~NDELINQl1EEVT
1985-86 FISCAL YEAR SUPPLEMENTAL ROLL TAXES ON PROPERTY
DANfAGED OR DESTRQYED BY MISFiIRTUNE OR CALAMITY
The 8oard of Supervisors o~ the Cflunty of Butte DO ~RDAIN
I as fol.~ows:
Sect~on 1. Purpose.
It is t~e purpose of this Section ~o provide for deferral
of e~nPaid nondelinquent 19$~-86 f~scal year Supplemen~al fto~1 ~axes
on e~.ig~.ble property wha.eh has been reassessed pursuant to the
appropriate cEivision~ of ~.he Revenue and Taxativn Cade. Set property
shall have sustair~Ed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,Q0~) or mare in damages
as a resul~ of the floods and/or storms occurring in ~ebruary 1986.
Section 2. Appl9.ca~ian for 7ax_Deferrment.
The owner of said property shall file a claim for deferral
on or before April 10, i986, wi~.h the Assessor.
It is the in~er~t of this section ~a implement a11 provisians
of Section 191 of t~e Re~enue and Taxa'tion Code or a substitc~~.ed
s~ction of ~hat code.
Sectior~ 3, l~rgency Status.
This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
i~s passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) c[ays after its
passage, this Ordir~ance sha~l be pu~lished once with ~he names o~' ~.he
members of ~.he 8oard of Supervisars voting for and against ~.he same
in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper af general circulation in
the County of Butte, State of California.
