CALIk'ORNIA, PUSUAI~T TO CHAPTER 24-29•
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Califarnia,
xn,der and pursuant to Clzapter 24-29 of the Butte Cotznty Code of said County, n0
)RDAXN, as follows:
SEC'~I01~ l. Section 24-111.5 0~ the Butte County Code is hereby added
~o read as follows:
§24-11S.S FR-1. l~'oothill Recreatianal} Zone ~
(A) Uses permitted:
(1) Single-family dwe~lings, inc~.uding mobile hom~s.
(2} Agricultural uses: ~
a. Keeping and raising small anima3.s for domestic usa, '
inc~uding dogs, cats and household pets, pou3.try and other birds, bees, fish,
taro~'ms and frogs .
b. 1Ceeping, raa.sing and pasturing of livestock provided ~hat
the follawing ~ot or parcel areas shall be required ~or each animal raised or
lt~pt on the premises:
~.. Far each horse or head or cattle over one (1) year o~
age, eight tho~sand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2. For each head of swin.e over ten (~.0 }~reeks of age, eight
thousand one hundred ~wenty-five ($,1.25) square faet.
3. For each head of sheep p~ goats, two thousand (2,000)
square ~ree~..
c. Raising and harvesting trees, fruit, graa.n, f~owers, herbs
and other plants and food crops.
d. Display and sa~e of agricultural goods praduced on the
pr~mises.
e. I~ecessary accessory uses, not inc~.uding storage and p~ocessing
of goods from nonadjacent ~.and or land under different ownership.

(3) Mining and excavating excep~ as limited in (h}(~~};

natural, expe~imental and study areas.

conditions:
~. Home occupations are considered to be accessory to the
residential use and are permit~ed on~y when the propxie~or resides on the
premises.
2. Not ma~e than one (1) esnployee or assistan~. may be
engaged for work or service on the premises in connection with such uses.
3. Adv'ertising displays sha~.~. b~ lir~ited ta one (1}
unlighted sign of not more than six (6) square feet of d~splay area. Such sign
shall no~ be located in any required yard.
(8) Accessory usas and buil.dings customarp and partinent to permi~~ed

(c) ~.ot Area: Minimum required area for a 1ot per residential
dwal~ing unit shal~. not be less than one (1) acre for FR-~.
(d) Lot Width: Min~mum required ~ot wid~h shall not be lass than twa
hund~ed twenty (220) ~eet; excapt when adjoining a majox road or creek, the
minimum frnntage sha3.1 not be less than thrae hundred (300) feet.
(e) ~`ront Yard: Minijn~un front yard sha~1 be fi.~rty {50} feet f~om the
center ~.ine of the raad; except where the road is classified by the cor~nty as a
federa~ aid secondary road, the minimum bui~~ing setback regu~.rernent shal7. be
fifty'-five {55) f~~t from ~he center line of said road.

SECTXON 3. The hereinafter descri.bed area siu~ate in the Cotznty of
Butte, State of California, shall. be and it is hereby zaned as an R-C (Resou~ce
Conservation) District, and such area shal.l be subject to k.he restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations,pursuant to Butte Coun~y Code Section 24-147.
Said area so zon~d being located in the unincorporated area o~ Butte
County, Chic4, more particularly desczibed as follows:
