AN ORDINANC~ AMENDING CHAPTER 24 0~` THE BUTTE C013~]'I'Y COI}~
The Board o~r Supexvisors of the County of But~e, State o~ California,
]74 ORDAIN, as fol],ows:
SECTION 1. Section 24-31 of the Butte County Code is hereby added
in its en.'tiraty to read as follows:
§24--3~.. Aliquot Parts .
Each parcel or ~.ot within the County shall have a minimum acreage as
indicated by the zaning district acreage designa~.zon. However, ~ax the purpose
af complying with the minimum lot area requireEr-ents, sections o~ land containing
less than 540 acres shall be deemed to be equiva~ent to 640 acres. ]~arcels re~
sulting from the division of sections with less than 640 acres into units ofi 1/4
1/lfi, 1~32, 1/64, or 1/128 of said sections shall also be deamed ~o be equivalen
ta the corresponding and respectiva lot areas required by ~he acreage designatio:
(1b0, 40, 20, 1~, or 5) of the pertinent zoning district. Applicant shall pravi
adequate proo~r that the section in question is irxegu~.ar.
5~CT20N 2. This Ordinance sha11 be and ~t is heraby declared to be in
ful~. force and effect ~rom and after thirty (30) days a~rter the da~.e of its
passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (1.5} days after its passage, this
Ordinance sha~~ be published once with the names of the members of the Board of
5upervisors voting ~or and against it in ~he Oroville Mercury , a news-
paper published in the Counk.y of Butte, State of Cal.ifornia.
