The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, Sta~e af California,
daes orda~.z~ as follows:
Section ~.: Sa~.d Board finds and deterr~ines that upon the basis of an
enginee~~.ng and traffic survey', the Butte Countp highways hereinafter described
come within the provzs~.ons of Sect~on Z2358 of the Vehicle Code o~ the Stat~
of Ca~.i~'o~'n~a, in that a speed limit of fifty-fta.ve {55) m~~.es per hour ~.s r~ore
than is reasonab~.e and safe on said highways and determines and declares a prim
facie speed I3mit on such Bu~te County highways as follows:
~ That a pra.ma facie speed ~.zm~.~ of twenty--five (25) miles per hour is
he~'eby determined, d~c~.ax'ed a.nd established and that SP~ED LIMIT 25 MILES signs
be placed a~ appro~~`iate locations an the hereinafter-described County highways
to wit:
S~ump Drive from Cres~~'idge Road to FarJ.ey S~reet
Margo Lane from S~ump Drive ~to Narth end
Bec~Cy Lane from Stump 17rive to Oak Knall Way
Diane Court from Stump Drive ~o North end
Oak Kno~l Way from Margo Lane to East end
Section 2: A.11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in canfl~ct herewith
are kze~'eby repealed.
Scction 3: The several fea~u~'es, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severahle and tkze ~.t~v'alid
ity, if any, of any ~ceature, part, provisian, section or term thex'eaf, sha11
no~ a~fec~ the remainc~er o~ ~ha.s o~dinance, ~or rendex the same inoperata.ve or
invalid.
Section 4: 2he Depar~ment of Public Works o~ the Co~nty of But~e is
I~ereby directed ~o erect appropriat~: sigz~s giving notice of the p~a.ma facie
speed limits established herein ~aith~n thirty (30) days of the adaption. ~hereof
This ardinance sha~l take eff~ct ~hir~y (30) days after its passage,
