AN ORD~NANCE ~STABLISH~NG SPEED LIMITS DN CERTArN ROADS
WITHIN THE COU~ITY OF BUTTE, STATE QF CA~IFORNIA
{Vehic~e Code 5ec~~on 22358) .
1 The Board o~ Supervisors a~ the County o~ Butte, Stat~ o~ California,
2 does o~dain as follows:
$ Sec~ion I: Said Board finds and de~ermines that upon ~he basis o~ an
¢ engineering and ~raffic survey, ~he Butte Coun~y highways h~reina~ter described
6 come with~n the pravisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
g of California, in that a speed ~~mit of fif~y-~~ve (55} miles per hour is ma~e
~ than is ~easonable and safe on said ~ighways and de~ermines an~ d~c~ares a
$ prima facie speed limit on such Butte Coun~y highways as ~ollaws:
g ~hat a prima facie speed l~mit of forty-five {45) miles per hour is
~p hereby de~ermined, dec~ared and estab~ished and that SPE~D LIM~T 45 MILES signs
~1 be placed at appropriate 1oca~~ons on th~ hexeinafter-describe~ County highway

hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving no~~ce of the prima facie
speed limits Established herein within thir~y (30} days o~ the adoption hereof.
Th~s ordinance shall take e~~ect thirty (30) days after ~ts passage,
and before the expiration o~ fifteen (15) days after its passage, it s~all be
published wa,~h the namc~s of the members voting for and against the same, oncc~
in a local newspaper published ~.n the Coun~y of Butte, S~a~e of Californ:i.a.
PASSED AND ADQ~~D by the Baard ot Supervisors of the County o~ Butte,
State of Ca~.i~ornia, at the regualr meeting thereof on the 20th . day
