AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISH~NG SPEED L~M~TS QN CERTAIN ROADS
WI~H~N TH~ COiTIV~Y OF BUTTE, STAT~ 0~ CALIFORNIA
(Ve~~cle Code Section 22358)
1 The Board of Supe~visors of the County of Butt~, S~ate of Cali~ornia,
2 does ordain as follows:
3 Section ~: Said $oard finds and determines that upon the basis of an
4 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County h~ghways hereinafter describe~
fi came within the pravis~ons o~ Section 22358 of the Veh~cle Code of t~e State
6 of Ca~i~oxnia, in tha~ a speed limxt of fifty~~ive (55} miles per hour is more
7 than is reasonable and sa~e on said highways and determ~~es and declares a
8 prima ~ac~e speed limi~ on such Butte County highways as follows:
9 Tha~ a grima facie speed limit of forty-five {45) miles per hour is
14 hereby determined, declared and es~ab~ished and ~ha~ SPEED L~M~T 45 MILES s~gns
~Z be placed a~ appropriate locations on the hereina~ter-described Coun~y highway

Th.is ordinance sha1~. ~ake effect thirty (30) days after its passage,
and before the cxpi~'a~3an of fifteen (1S) days after i~s passage, it sha11 be
pub~isk~ed w~.~h the nar~es of ~he me~bers ~oting ~or and against the same, once
i,n a local newspaper published in the County of B~utte, State of California.
