AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2~-97
TO THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE
The Board of Supervisors oY the County o~ Butte, State of
Cali~ornia, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. Tha~ Section 21-97 shall be hereby added to the
Butte County Code to read as ~ollows:
Sec. 21-97. Fees for the notification o~ parties of
interest.
Pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code Section 8701 the tax
collector is required to send natice of ~he proposed sale by
registered mail to the mailing address, if available, of pa~ties
o~ znterest. A fee of two hundred and ten dollars ($210.00) per
parcel will be assessed by the Butte County tax collector for
costs zncurred during notification of parties of interest. Such
fee shaZl be d~stributed to the county general fund pursuant to
Revenue and Taxation Code Section 4672.2. Tf the total amount of
pxoceeds is insu~~icient after satisfaction of the amounts
specified in Revenue and Taxation Code Setions 4672 and 4672.1,
the two hundred and ten dollars ($210.00) shall be reduced
accordzngly.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
dec~ared to be in full ~orce and effect from and after thirty
(30) days a~ter the date of its passage, and before the
expiration of ~ifiteen (15) days after its passage, this
Ordinance shall be published once with the names of ~he members
of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the
Orovi7le Mercury , a newspaper published in the County of
Butte, State of Ca~i~ornia.

of Butte, State of CaZifornia, on the 21st day o~
June , 1988, by the following vote.
