AN ORDINANCE AM~ND~NG BUTTE CDUI~TY C0~}E
S~CTIONS 4-1 . 4~ , 4-~ , 4--4. 1
'Fhe Board of ~uperviso~s af the County of But~e, S~ate
of Californxa DO ORAAIN, as fo~.~.ows:
Section 1. '~hat Section 4-1.4 of the Bu~te County
Code is k~ereb}r amended to read as follows:
Sec. ~--1,4 Penalty for v~.alatian of sections 4-l,
4-]..J., 4-1.2, 4-I.3 and 4-1.5.
Any persan violating the provisa.ons of sec-
tion 4-~., 4~-1.2(e} or 4-1..2{f) s~a11 be gui.lty
of an infraction, punishable by fine or fines of
not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) for the
fzrst o~~ense occuring during any l.icense year;
of not 1.ess than one hundred fifty dollars
($150.00) for a second of~ense occurring during
any license pear; and of not less than ~hree hun-
d~ed dollars ($300.00) ~or a t~iird or subsequent
o~~ense occurring during any ~.a.cense year. No
~ ~ part o~ these ~ines may be suspended.
Any person vioJ.a'~a.n.g any provisions of sec--
tion 4-l, 4-~7..1, 4-1.2 or 4-1.3, o~her than those
set forth ab~ove, sha~.~. be guilty of a m~sdemeanor.
Sec~~.on 2. That Section 4--4 0~' t~e Butte Caunty Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 4-4. Fees; late regis~ration

(a) The fee for kennel licenses shall be fifty
dollars {$50.00).
(b) The ann~al ~ee for dog registration sha~1
be twenty dollars ($20.00) for an unal~ered
anima~ and ten dollars {$1Q,Q0) ~or an al-
tered animal i~ a cer~ificate from a~icensed
veterinarian identifying that the dog has
been spayed or neutered is presen~ed.
(c) In the event a dog is no~ registered pur-
suan~ ta section 4-2 of this Code, a penalty
of forty do~laxs ($40.00) shall be assessed
against the owner as a late registration
charge.
Sec~ion 3. That Sec~ion 4-4.~ of the Butte County
Code is hereby deleted.
Section 4. Th~s Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared ~o be in ~u11 force and effect from and a~ter thirty
(30) days after the da~e of its passage, and before the expira-
tion of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance
sha~~ be published once with the names of ~he members of the
Board of Superv~sors voting fo~ and against it an the
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of Cali~or~
I n~.a .
