AN ORDINANCE AMENDTNG BUTTE COUNTY CODE
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of Cali~COrn.ia, DO ORDATN, as fallows:
Section 1. That Sectian 23B-4 of the Bu~te County
Code is her~by amended to read as ~oll.ows:
Section 23B-4. Perm~.t a li.cation.
Appl~ications ~or per~nits shall be made ta ~he hea~th
o~fic~r o~ the Co~nty of Butte together with the requir~d ~ee
established by ord~.nance by the Board a~ Supervisors of the
Coun~y of Butte. If construction, repair, deepening or
des~ruction of a well is begun prior to obtaining a permit, the
fee for such permit ~ha~l. be doubled but sha11 not ~e~ie~cre any
pe~son f~om ~ully complying w~th the provisions of this chapter
nor from any other penalties described in this chapter.
App~.icata.ons sha~.l be made on ~or~s provided by the health
officer. Agplications for pe~nits to construct, repair ar
deepena well sha11 include the foZ~owing information:
{a) Locat~.on of the property, assessor's parcel number,
~.awnship, range and section.
(b) Name, address and contactor's license number of the
person who will construct the we11.
(c) The proposed minimt~ depth of the well.
(d) Proposed use of the w~ll.
{e) An accurate plot plan which wi1.1 shaw wi~hin a radius
of two hund~ed (200) feet the folZowing.

{1) Property Zines and e~isting and proposed
b~i~dings.
42) Sewage disposal systems, sewer lines, and any
other works carrying or cantaining sewage.
{3) Al~ intermittent perennial, natural or arti~icial
bod~es of water or watercourses.

(5) The approximate surface drainage pat~ern of the
property and areas subject to ~loading.
Applications ~or permits to destroy an abandoned we1l shall
incl~de such znformation as ~he health of~icer deems necessary.
Section 2. This Ordinance sha~l be a~d ~~ is hareby
declared to be in full force and e~fect from and a~ter thirty
(30) days after the date o~ its passage, and be~ore the
e~pirat~on af ~i~teen (15) days after its passag~, this Ordinance
shall be published once wi~h ~he names of the member~ of the
Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Enterprise
Record , a newspaper pubZished zn the Co~n~y of
Bu~.te, State o~ Ca~ifornia.
