AN ORDINANCE ACC~PTING THE PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS
RELATING 'TO TH~ SELEC~'i0N AN~? TRAYNING STAI~TDARDS
OF 1'UBLZC SAFETY DISPATCHERS
The Board of Superv'isors of ~he County of Butte, 5tate of Cali~ornia, DO
ORDAIN as fallaws:
Sect~.on 1 that ~he Gounty dec~ares that it d.esires ~a qualify to receive
aid from the State o~t CaJ:ifornia under the provision.s of SeCtion 13522, Chapter
1, o~ TitJ.e 4, par~ 4, of the Cal.ifornia Penal Code.
Secti.on 2 that pursuant to Section I35].0(c}, Cl~apter i, th.e County wa.~l
ad.here to standards fox rec~'uitment and training estab~ished hy th.e California
Commission on Peace Officer Standazds and Training {P.O.S.T.}.
Section 3 that gursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, ~he Commission and its~
Irepresenta~ives ~nay make such ~nquiries as deemed app~opri~ate by the Commissian
to ascertain that the County's pub~.ic safety dispatcher pe~sonnel adhere to
standards fox' selection and trai~ing establish~d by the Commission an Peace
Officer S~andards and Training.
This o~'dinance shall take effect on January 7, 1989 , whi.ch is
beyond ~hirty (3Q) days after the date of i.ts adaption; and before the
~expira~.ion of f~fteen (15} days after its passage it shall be publis~,ed ia a
~newspape~ in the County of Butte, State of Cal.iforniao
