Assi~tan~ County Weifare Director or Social Se~vice Progra~n Manager Section 2: This ardinance shail lapse and be of no fu~r~her ~orce or effect as ~o Socia~ Serv~.ce Program Manager, at s~.ch tinne as any Socia~. Serv~.ce Program Manag~r position becomes vacant. Section 3: This ordinance is an urgez~cy ordinance for the immediate preservation af the public peace, health and safety, and shal.l take ef~ect ianznediately pursuan~ to Section 25123 (d) of ~he Governmen~ Code of ~he State af Ca~.ifornia. The ~act cons~ituting the urgency are as follows: A curran~ employee was appointed provisionally on Sep~ember I6, 1988 as Assistan~ County WeI.~are Director. County Code mandates that sueh assignments not exceed six months. In this case March 15, I989. 4n March i3, 1989 the Perso~ne]. The budgeting of one Assistant County We~~are Direc~or as alternative~y Assistant Ca~n~y Welfare Direator or Soc~al Service Program Manager will reso~ve this problem ~ntil either a layoff is ordered and can occur in and orderly fashion or a vacancy accurs through attritzon. This will insure the smoath continu~ng operation o~ the Butte Coun~y We~fare Depar~ment and avoid interrupting li~e suppor~ing servic~s pending an ult~ma~e reso~ution thraugh reorganization, layoff or attritio~. Section 4: Before ~he expiration o~ fifteen {15} days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board o£ Supervisors voting ~or and against it in ~he Orbvil~e Me~^cury, a newspaper pub~.ished in the County af Butte, Sta~e o~ Cali~orzzia.
