AN ORDINANCE S~TTING SPECTFIED COUNTY CLERK FEES
The Baard ot Supervisars of the Caunty of Butte ordains as
£ollo~w~ :
Section 1.
F~.nda,nc~s= The Board of Super~r'iso~s makes the following findings:
A. Government Code Section 54985 authorize~ a county to increase
statutory and ather fees as necessary ta recover -~he costs of
prov~.ding any p~oduct or service.
S: The Board o~ 5upervisors previausly approved the canduct of a
fee study to determine co~ts o~ the Butte Coun.ty Clerk's Off~ice
provid~ng specified products and s~rvices, and sa.~d study has been
completed.
C. A public hearing has been duly no~iced and held on August 28,
1990 pursuant to the requirements of Gov~rnment Code Section 54986 to
consi.der said study and to r~ceive oral a~ written p~~sentations
pertain~ng thereto.
See~tion 2: The fees spec~fied below are hereby determined
nec~ssary to recover ~he casts of providing the ~espective products or
ser~crices for v~rhieh they relate and are hereby established and adopted
as the applicabi~ fee there~ore:

Section 3. Severabilit .
If any part of this o~dinance' sha~I be held vaid by a court of
competent jurisdictzon, such part shall be deemed severable, and the
inva~id~ty thereof shall no~ affect the remaining part s o~ this
ordinance.
Section 4.
This Ordinance shall be and it ~s hereby declared to b e in ~u11
force and ef~ect f~om and a~ter thirty {30) days after the da te o~ its
passage, and be~ore the expira~ion o£ fi€t~en (15) days afte~ its
passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with ~he names of the
memb~rs of the Board af Supervisor~ ~ating for and against it in the
Chico Enterp~ise-Record, a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State o~ Cali~orn~a.

Butte, Sta~e of California, on the 28th day of A~g~st, ~990, by the
