HomeMy WebLinkAbout2927Ordinance No. 2827 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 27, ELECTRICITY OF THE EUTTE COUNTY CODE 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows: 2 Section 1. Section 27-1 of the Butte County Code is hereby amended 3 to read as follows: 4 Section 27-1. Electrical Cade - Ado ted b reference. 5 In order to provide minimum standards for the proper reg- 6 ulation of the installation of electrical systems, the Uniform Administrative 7 Code Provisions for the National Electrical Code, 1990 Edition, prepared 8 and published by the International Conference of Building Officials, and 9 the National Electrical Code, 1994 Edition, prepared and published by the 10 National Fire Protection Association, except as specifically modified by 11 California Health and Safety Code, Division 13, Part 1.5 (State Housing 12 Law), are hereby adopted, incorporated and made a part of this chapter by 13 reference without further publication as though set forth at length herein, 14 and are hereby declared to be the electrical code for the County and shall 15 .apply to and govern all electrical installations in the unincorporated areas 16 of the County except as hereinafter provided. 17 Section 2. That Section 27-3 of the Butte County Code is amended 18 to read as follows: lg Section 27-3. Same - amendments, additions and deletions. 20 The Uniform Administrative Cade for the 1990 National Electric 21 Code, adopted by Section 27-1, xs amended as follows: 22 Sections 203 and 204 are hereby deleted. 23 Section 301(b) is hereby amended by the insertion of the 24 following paragraphs after subsection 14: 2g 15. No permits shall be requied for any buildings exempted 2B by sections 301(b} of the 19$$ Uniform Building Code as 1 2 5 4 5 6 7 8 9 ld ].1 12 13 3.4 15 16~ 17 18 19 2d 2Z 22 23 24 25 26 amended by sections 26-3 of Chapter 26 of the Butte County Code. 16. No permit shall be required for the installation, alteration or repair of agricultural water pumps used solely for agricultural purposes. Section 303(d) is hereby amended to read as follows: An electric permit .may be transferred from the original permittee to another person due to a change in ownership or contractor. Section 304 is amended to read as follows: Permit fees, filing fees, reinspection fees and refunds shall be as specified by the Butte County Board of Super- visors. Section 3. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect on July ~., 1991, and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Enter ri a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
