AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1 that Section No. 2-29 of the Butte County Code
entitled PERSONNEL DIRECTOR is hereby amended to read as follows:
A Personnel Director shall be appointed by the Board of
Supervisors. The Director shall be responsible for the
administration of Merit System and Personnel Plan and shall
have authority to appoint such employees far personnel work
as may be allowed by the Board, The Personnel Director shall:
establish methods and procedures necessary for the proper
functioning of the Merit System and Personnel Programs;
provide such personnel services and assistance to department
heads and employees that will contribute to the efficient
conduct of the County's business; maintain such records
necessary for the effective administration of the Merit
System and Personnel Program, including a file far each
employee which will be available for review by the
employee and authorized persons; provide the Board of
Supervisors with such reports and information as they may
require. Actions of the Personnel Director may be
appealed to the Board of Supervisors.
Section 2 that Section No. 2-35 of the Butte County Code
entitled PERSONNEL APPEALS COMMISSION is hereby repealed.
Section 3 that Section No. 2-36 of the Butte County Code
entitled REMOVAL OF MEMBERS FOR CAUSE is hereby repealed.

Section 4 that Section No. 2-37 of the Butte County Code
entitled HEARING OFFICER is hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall take effect on July 19, 1991, which is
beyond thirty (30} days after the date of its adoption; and
before the expiration of fifteen {15} days after its passage, it
shall be published in a newspaper in the County of Butte, State
of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte this 18th day of June , 1991, by the
following vote:
