ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE
BUTTE COIINTY CODE REDISTRICTING THE SIIPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS
IN THE COIINTY OF BIITTE
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
follows:
Section 1. Article IV of Chapter 2 of the Butte County Code is
amended to read as follows:
ARTICLE ID. BIIPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS
SECTION 2-25 ESTABLISHED; DESIGNATED.
Five (5) Supervisorial districts are hereby established within
the County, which districts are designated and described as
follows:
SIIPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 1
Beginning at the intersection of the Union Pacific Railroad right-
of-way and the Butte County border common with Yuba County; thence
northerly along said railroad right-of-way centerline to its
intersection with the centerline of Central House Road; thence
westerly along said road centerline to its intersection with the
centerline of State Highway 70; thence northerly along said highway
centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Stimpson
Road; thence E along said centerline to the SE corner of Section
35 T18N R3E MDB&M; thence N, still on the centerline of said
Stimpson Road to its intersection with the centerline of Cox Lane;
thence W along said centerline to its intersection with State
Highway 70; thence N along said centerline to its intersection with
the centerline of State Highway 162; thence W along said centerline
to the centerline of the Feather River; thence northerly and
easterly along said centerline to the W line of Section 32 T20N R4E
MDB&M; thence N along said section line to the E 1/4 corner of said
Section 32; thence W along the E-W centerline of Sections 31 and
32 of said T20N R4E and Section 36 of T20N R3E to the centerline
of State Highway 7fl; thence N along said centerline to its
intersection with the centerline of the West Branch of Lake
Oroville also being the centerline of the West Branch of the
Feather River; thence westerly and northerly along said centerline

to the section line common to Sections ~.9 and 20 of T22N ROE,
MDB&M; thence N along the W lines of Sections 20, 17, 8 and 5 of
said T22N ROE, MDB&M and the W lines of Sections 32, 29, and 20 of
T23N ROE, MDB&M to the West Branch of the Feather River; thence
northerly and easterly along said West Branch of the Feather River
to its intersection with Big Kimshew Creek; thence easterly and
northerly along said creek to the confluence of Little Kimshew
Creek; thence easterly along Little Kimshew Creek to its
intersection with the centerline of Concow Road in Section 21 T24N
R5E MDB&M; thence southerly along said centerline to the Butte
County line common with Plumas County; thence generally
southeasterly along said County boundary common to Butte and Plumas
Counties to the Yuba County line; thence generally southerly and
westerly along the boundary common to Butte and Yuba Counties to
its intersection with the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way and
the true point of beginning.

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of State Highway
99 and the centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence southerly along
State Highway 99 to the centerline of.Park Avenue; thence westerly
and northerly along said centerline to the centerline of Meyers
Street; thence westerly along said centerline to the west right-
of-way line of Park Avenue; thence nartherly along said right-of-
way line to a point on the Chico City limits line as it existed on
January 1, 1990, and located 232.7 ft. N of the N right-of-way line
of Meyers St.,; thence southwesterly along said City limits line
to the E right-of-way line of Estes Road; thence N along said
right-of-way to the City limits; thence westerly along said City
limits to the E right-of-way line of the Southern Facific Railroad;
thence northwesterly along said right-of-way to the centerline of
Dayton Road; thence southerly along said centerline to the
centerline of Pomona Avenue, thence westerly along said centerline
to the centerline of Miller Avenue; thence southerly along said
centerline to the centerline of Butte Avenue; thence westerly along

centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence easterly along said creek
centerline to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southerly
along said highway centerline to the centerline of Dead Horse
Slough; thence easterly along said slough centerline to the
centerline of Fir Street; thence southerly along said road
centerline to the centerline of Humboldt Road; thence easterly
along said Humboldt Road centerline to the centerline of a private
road located approximately 1100 ft. W of the W line of Section 30,
T22N R2E, MDB&M; thence southerly along said private road
centerline to the centerline of Little Chico Creek; thence easterly

centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Stimpson

Beginning at the intersection of the West Branch of the Feather
River and the E-W centerline of Section 19 T22N R4E MDB&M; thence
W along said centerline to the Paradise Town limits as they existed
on January 1, 1990; thence southerly and westerly along said Town
limits to the SW corner of Section 28 T22N R3E MDB&M and the
centerline of an overhead utility easement; thence northwesterly
along said centerline to the centerline of Neal Road; thence
southwesterly along said centerline to the easterly right-of-way

to Big Kimshew Creek; thence westerly and southerly along Big
Kinshew Creek to the West Branch of the Feather River; thence

Section 2. Severabili~. if any part of this ordinance shall
be held void by a court of competent jurisdiction, such part shall
be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect
the remaining parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective date⢠Publication.
This ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be
in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the
date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15} days
after its passage, this ordinance shall be published once with the
names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
against it in the Chico Enterprise , a newspaper published in the
County of Butte, State of California.
