4 REGARDING JUD~CIAL DISTRICTS
s The Baard of Supervisors af the Caunty o~ Butte, State
~ of Cal.ifornia, ordains as fo~~ows:
7 Section ~.. Article V of Chapter 2 of the Butte County Code
$ is repealed and re-enacted to read as fol~ows:

~2 Descriptions.
~~ The legal descriptions of the North County Judicial
14 District and the South County Jttdicia~. District created by
15 Artic3.e 37 (commencing with Section 74934} af Chapter 10 of
~~ Tit1e 8 of the Government Code, a~ enacted by Chapter 592 of
17 the S~atutes of 1986 and made operative by Resolution 87-17
~~ pass~d and adapted or~ February 3, 1987 by the Butte County
19 Board of Superv3sors, are as fo~.lows:
~~ The North County Judicial District shall include a~.~.
2~- lands within the Cou~ty of Butte lying north and west of th~

2~ Beginning at the centerline o~ Butte Cr~~k ar~d its point
24 af intersection with the east-west center line of Section 34,

3 southwest corner of said Section; thence easterly along the
4 Sectian line 4 miles, more or less, to the northwest corner
5 of Sect~on 6, T19N, R3E; thence northerly along range line

Section 2. Severability. I~ any par~ af this ordinance shal~
be h~ld vo~.d by a court of co~petent jurisdiction, such part
sha1.1 be deerned severable, and the inva~idity thereof shall
not affect the remaining parts o£ this ord~nance.
SectiQn 3. Effectiv~ Date• Pub~icatiQn. This ordinance shall
be and is hereby declared to be in ~u1.1 farce and effect 30
days ~rom the da~e of its passage (Government Code Section
25~.23}. Within fi£teen days of the date of its passag~, this
ordinance shall be pub7.ished ance with the names of the
members of the Board o~ Supervisors voting ~or and against it
~.n the P~radise Past , a n~wspaper pubiished in the
Coun~y a~ Butte, State of California.
