The ~oard o~' Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follotas:
Section 1: Said Baard £a.nds and determines that upan the basis of
an engineering and traffic survey, the $utte County highways here~.na~~er
describc~d come wi'thin the prnvis~.ons of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of Califarnia, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles pex'
hou~r xs more ~.han is reasonable and saf~ on said hiuhways and determanes and
dec~.ares a prima facie speed ~.~.m~.t on such Butte Co~nty high~aays as follows:
That a prima facie speed li~nit of ~ha.r~y-five (35) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LTMIT 35 MILES
;signs be p~.aced at appropra.a~e locations on the hereinafter-descri.bed Caunty
highway to wit:
ALL 4F' PRYDE AVENUE
ALL OF' HASTINGS AVENUE
ALL Ok' CHAT~'IELD AVEN[JE
ALL OF DAKOTA AVEi1r[TE
ALL OL` AZEVEDO AVENUE
Section 2: All ordinances or par~s o~' nrd~.nances i~ conflict here-
wi~h are hereby repealed.
5ection 3: The several features, parts, p~'ovisa.ons, sect~.ons and
~erms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and
~ the invalidity, if any,-of any fea~uxe, part, grovision; section or term
thereaf, shall z~ot affect the remainder of this orda.nance, nor render the
same inoperative or invalid.
Section ~: The Department o~' Publa.c Woxks of the County of Butte
is he~ehy d~.rected to erect appropriate signs giving noticc o~ ~lxe pr~.ma facie
speed limits estab~ished herein within thirty (30) days o~ the adop~.~on

and before the exp~.xation of fifteen (15} days after i~s passage, it shal]. be
pub~.a.shed with the names o~ the members vo~ing for and agains~ the same, once
in a lacal netaspaper published ~.n the County of Butte, State of Ca~.i~'arn~a.
