4 The Board of Superva.sors of t~-ie County of Bu~te, State of Celifornia DO ORDAIN,
5 as follows:
6 5ection 1. That 5ection 3 of Ordinance 2657 is hereby amended to read as follows:
7 §3. The County of But~e ehall provide transportation far the meml~ers of the
8 Board of Supervisors for attendance to alJ. county related aotivitiea and even~s.
9 Members of the Baard may select one of the following two alternatives as and fnr a
1~ transportation allawance. ~
1.1 1. A Soard member may receive $400 per month for transportation co~ts inaide
12 the county.
~.3 2. A Board member may choose to use a County vehicle and the County ahall be
14 responsible for all coets relative to that vehicle up to a ca~ of $400 per month.
15 Mileage ahall be ca~culated a~ $0.2Q per mi.le up to the rt~onthly cap af $~400 for official
16 Caunty business within the County. A Board member shali reimhurge the County for any
17 in~-caunty use of a co~nty-owned vehicle in excess of 2,000 miles per month at the ra~e
18 of $0.20 per mile. Official out of county traval shall not be caunted towards the 2,OQ0
19 monthly in-county mileage cap. A Board member ueing a County vehiole for official out
2 0 of Gounty travel shal~ nnt pay the $0.20 a mile reimbureemen~ fee. F'or official ~rips
2 1 autside ~he County in which a Board member utilizes his or her personal vehicle ~e/she
22 shall be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate.
23 3. Individual Board members ahall be paid ~he $400 on or about the effective
24 date of this ordinance providing ~hey have not previously received aa ailawance far the
2 5 month this ordinance is e~fective, and thereafter monthly.
26 4. Each memb~r of the ~oard will compiy with the County's policies and
27 procedu~es regarding insurance requirementa.

1 5. Each member of the Board of Supervisoxs shall be reimbursed for actual and
2 neceesary expenses incurred in the course of official county busineas, including meals
3 and lodging and all other actual and necessary expensee, other than transportation
4 expenses included above, which shall be incurred by them, subject ta normal budgetary
5 and appropriation cantrola.
~ Section 2. This ardinance ahall take effect an November 13, 1993, which ie 60
7 days after the date of its adoption, and before the expirat~on of 15 days after its
8 passage. It ahall be published with the namea of the members of the Board of
9 Supervisars voting for and against the same in the Oroville Mercury, a newapaper
10 pub~ished ~n the Coun~y of Butte, 5~ate o~ Califarnia
