I live in a community with ~i8 lots; I3 ofthose lots have large Marijuana grows, we have a tonal of twenty
grows because same Iots grow for themselves with there scripts and some, hke my neighbor, rents out his
land far two more co-ops to grow. He is also selling them water to grow with as part of the rent. My
neighbor has 12Qr- large plants, plus the same amount itt a hot house in small plants on his ten acres.
We have many problems wi#h the growers threats, harassment, shootings, explosions, smells pat and
chemicals, Property values plummeting„ break-ins, wells and creeks being contarninated, steeling water
from neighbors wens, over use of the water intended for our 48 residential homes, lowering the water table
for all of us. We do not walls arrd ride our quads on the roads anymore, we do not have company ar parties
anymore its not safe and smells bad.
13trt those are only the obvious, that thvr~sands are complaining; about. Now we come tv the grows being a
large commercial business on our rural private dirt roads. The State and County laws, and our liability
require the Eando~mers to maintain these roads in a safe conditiara. We can not afford to repair our wads
for these large business. They have double trailer semi loads of soil, some times 14 a day, trucks and
trailers full of fertilizers and ]era rock and moss, chemicals in 50 gallon drums, aster trucks, employees to
grew and process and harvest the craps, and or with the scripts being Leaded to by the owner of lira script.
Which all means that onr roads are being over used for the purpose intended by all who bought and
tools on the burden and expense of maintaining the roads intended for residentiaE not commercial
businesses.
Private landowners can not and should not have to maintain these roads for all these large commercial
grows. They are a business and should be licensed and governed just Tike any other business thathas
employees and deliveries of supplies and eam an income.
Igo matter how you look at it they rent there property for a person to grow or they are paid to gmw for them,
its and income and should have a business license and pay income tax oft the income.
No matter what the acreatre if they are not growing just there own scripts, it is a business and they are
making an income and it needs a business. License, with all the rules attached just like any other business
especially in a residential area.
1~+e need the board to classify these as business and they need to apply for a business license in onr
single family residence neighborhoods, just like a dug trainer did, who was told be would have to
pave from the freevray to his front door, if and aflter all his neighbors had a vote of even to allow his
business in the community.
