AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON
3 FLORAL AVENUE AITHIN THE C4IINTY OF BUTTE~
STATE ~F CALIFORNIA

The Board of Supe~visors of the County of Butte, State o~

Ca3.~.~ornia, does ordain as follows:

Section 1: Said Board Finds and determines that upon the
8
basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County
9
highway hereinafter described cflmes within the provisions o~
10
Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code of the State of Califarnia, in
11
that the existing speed limit of Twenty-Five (25} mi~es per haur is

less than is most appropriate ta facilitate the orderly movement o~
i~
traffic on said highway and determines and declares a prima facie

speed limit on such Butt~ County highway as follows;

That a prima facie speed limit of thirty (30} miles per hour

FLORAL ADENUE, BETWEEN GLENSHIRE LANE AND EATON ROAD

Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict

herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3: The several features, parts, provisior~s, sections

and terms of this ordinance are hereby decZared independent and
24
severable and the invalidity, i~ any, of any feature, part,
25
provision, sect~.on or term thereof, sha1.1 not affect the re~nainder
26
of th~.s ordinance, nor render the same inoperative or invalid.

Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice
of the prima facie speed ~im~t established herein within thirty
( 3 0) days of the adoption hereof .
This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its
passage, and before th~ expiration af fifteen (15} days after its
passage, it shall be publ~shed with the names af the members voting
for and against the same, once in a loca~ newspaper published in
the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND AD4PTED by the Board of Supervisor~ o~ the County
af Butte, State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on
the 28t~i day of ~'eb~uaxy , 1995, by the fo~iowing vote:

NOES : None
