5 The Soard of Supervisors of the Gaunty of Sutte, State of California DO ORDAIN,
6 as follows:
7 Section 1. That Section 3 of Azdinance 2657 and Sections 1 of Ord9.nance 3088 are

9 §3. ~he County of Butte sha11 provide transportation for the members of the
10 Board of Superviso~s for attendance to all county re~ated activities and even~s.
Z1. Members af the Board may select one o£ the follow.ing two alternatives as and for a
12 transporta~ion allowance.
13 1. A Board member may receive $480 per month for transportation costs inaide
14 ~he county.
15 2. A Board member may choose to use a Coun~y vehicle and the County sha11 be
16 responsible for a].l costs relative to that vehicle up ~o a cap af $480 ger month.
~.7 Mileage shall l~e calculated at $0.30 per mile up to the monthly cap of $480 f~r official
18 Coun~y business within the County. A Board member sha11 rEimburse the County tor any
19 in-county use of a countyWowned vehicle in excess of 2,000 ~niles per month at the rate
20 of $0.30 per mile. Official out of county travel shall not be counted towards the 2,000
2 1 monthly in-coun'ty mileage cap. A Board member using a County vehicle for official. out
22 of County travel shall not pay the $d.30 a mile reimbursement fee. For officia~. trips
23 outside tHe County in which a Board member utilizes his or her personal vehicle he/she
24 shal]. be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate.
25 3. Inda.vidual Board me~ers sha1.1 be paid ~he $480 on or about the effective date
26 of this ordinance praviding they have not previously received an allawance for the mont~
27 ~his ordinance is effective, and thereafter monthly.

4. Each member of ~he Board wiil co~pZy with the County's poiicies and
proc~dures regarding insurance requirements.
5. Upon written request to the County Auditor/Controller, each member shall be
entitled ta $70 per manth flat monthly allowance £or purchase/rental and usage aosta for
a cellular phane. Said request shall ba made on an annual basis on or before July 1 of
each yea~ ~ar ~he following ~iseal year.
b. Each member of the Soard af Supervisors shall be reimbursed for actual and
necessary expenses incurred in the course of official county business, including meals
and lodging and a11 other actual and necessary expenses, nther than transpor~ation
expenses included above, which shall be incurred by them, subject to normal budgetary
and appropriation con~rols.
Section 2. This ordinance shall ~ake effect an Ju~y $, 1995 , which is 60 days
a£ter the date o~ its adoption, and before the expiration of ~5 days after i~s passag~.
It shall be pu~lished with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting
for and against the same in the Oroville Mercury, a newspaper published in the County
of Butte, State of California
