is hereby amendEd by adding i~hereto the following:

SALARY PLAN FOR ELECTTVE AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS - REFERENCE F
is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
Appointed and elected officials shown in R~ference A, S, E, G and H of this section,
who ar~ members of the Public Employees' Retirement System, may elect to receive
County payment of~he memb~r's share of ~he reti.~rement cost or in lieu an add~~.ona1
percen~age appli~d ~o their biweekly wage. The additional wage, when combined
with the re~ated wage ovexhead cost, shall not exceed the amount of the Coun~y
retirement contribution to the member's share of retirement cost.
Section 3 that Section No. 19 of Ordinance No. 2979 of the County of Butte en~itled
SUPER~4R COURT - Budget Unit 24I-001 is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:

This ordinance shall take e:ffect unmediately pursuant to Sec~ion 25123 (~ of the
Government Code of the State of Catifornia; and before expiration of fifteen {IS} days
after its passage, it shall be pubiished in a newspaper in the County of Butte, State of
California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of ~.ae County of Butte this
