2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-92 OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE XII
3 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE ENTITLED "UNCLAIMED PROPERTY IN
4 POSSESSION OF THE SHERIFF"

6 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 2-92 of the Butte County Code is amended to read as follows:
8 Section2~2. Article enacted pursuant to state law.
9 This article is enacted pursuant to the provisions of sections 2080.4, 2080.5 and
10 2080.6 of the Civil Code of the state and any amendments thereof.
11 Section 2. Severablt~r.
12 If any part of this ordinance shall be void by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
13 part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining
14 parts of this ordinance.
15 Section 3. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect
16 from and after thirty (30} days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
i7 ffteen (15}days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names
18 of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico
19 Enterprise-Record, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Butte,
20 State of California.
21 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
22 State of California, on the 9th day of April , 1996, by the fallowing vote:
