AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH H S1 } OF SECTION 43-1
OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE, REGARDING WATER WEI*I_ PERMIT FEES
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
Section 1 . Paragraph H. {1 } of Section 43-1 of the Butte County Code is amended by
adding new subparagraphs {b}., (c} and (d} (and re-lettering the remaining subparagraphs)
thereto to authorize the Butte County Public Health Department to charge, in addition to
any other fees required by the County of Butte or the State of California, the fees
specified therein for services it provides in connection with the issuance of well permits.
Said amended paragraph H. (1 }shall read as follows:

1. Well Permits
a. New well $173.00
b. Over 8 inch diameter well $173.00
processing fee. (Add to a. Does
not apply to exempt wells of
Section 23B-5c of this code.]
c. Over 8 inch diameter well Deposit $650.00
permit variance fee; $65.00
per hour for county processing
expense.
d. Appeal $250.00

Section 2. Effective Date of Fees.
The fees specified in Butte County Code Section 43-1 paragraph H[1)[b1 and ic1
shall be effective on August 26, 1996.
Section 3. Severability.
If any part of this ordinance shall be held void by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the
remaining parts of this ordinance.
Section 4. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full farce and effect from and after thirty [30) days after the date of its
passage, and before the expiration of fifteen [151 days after its passage, this Ordinance
shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors
voting for and against it in the Chico Enterpra.s,e, a newspaper published in the County
of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, on the 25 day of June, 1996, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Hoax, Thomas and Vice Chair Meyer
NOES: None
ABSENT: Chair McLaughlin
