AN ORDINANCE A1VIENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3288 OF THE

The Board of Supervisors ofthe County of Butte, State of California, DO ORDAIN ~
as follows:
Section 3 that Section No. 4 of Ordnance No. 3288 of the County of Butte entitled
SALARY PLAN FOR ELECTIVE AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS REFERENCE: A
Salary Plan for Appointed Department Heads is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:

REPEAL is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety.

Section. 10 that Section No. 69 of Ordinance No. 3288 of the County of Butte is
hereby amended by adding thereto the fallowing:
PAYMENT OF_SALARIE~AND~TAGE~ Salary and wage policies
shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Merit System Ordinance and
Resolution. Payment of salaries shall be made on the Thursday next
succeeding the end of any pay period. If the salary payment date falls on a
regularly scheduled County holiday, payment shall be made the preceding
regularly scheduled work day.
Section 11 that Section No. 70 of Ordinance No. 3288 of the County of Butte is
~ hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
REPEL. Ordinance 3275, all ordinances making amendments thereto, and
any and all other ordinances which are inconsistent with the provisions of this
Salary Ordinance, are hereby repealed as of the effective date hereof.
~~.~...~~ that Section No. 71 of Ordinance No. 3288 of the County of Butte is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
SEVERABILITY. If any part of this ordinance shall be held void by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be deemed severable, and the
invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this ordinance.

Section 13 that Section No. 72 of Ordinance No. 3288 of the County of Butte is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION. This Ordinance shall be and it is
hereby declared to be in full force and effective as of October 8, 1996: and,
before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, a summary of this
Ordinance shall be published in accordance with Government Code Section
25124(b)(1) giving notice of its adoption and including the names of the
members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it.

This ordinance shall take effect immediately pursuant to Section 25123(f) of the
Government Code of the State of California; and before expiration of fifteen (15) days
after its passage, it shall be published in a newspaper in the County of Butte, State of
'California.
