Section 25123 (d) that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and

are as follows: The Butte Creek Canyon area along Honey Run Road and Centerville Road is an area of
scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, but it is also and area of high fire hazard. Many non-
residents of the area visit it to enjoy the scenic and recreational opportunities. It is anticipated that many
members of the public will be visiting the area, particularly during the up-coming ~'uly 4th weekend, and
that the pazking of vehicles along Honey Run Road and Centerville Road could, because of the narrow
width of the roads and shoulders, block or hinder the passage of emergency vehicles and other vehicular
traffic and could create a public safety hazard. It is therefore important for the safety of residents of the
area and members of the public visiting the area to prohibit parking as specified in this ordinance and to
cause the ordinance to become effective immediately.
