AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY CODE SECTION 20-68 REGARDING
EXTENSION OF TIME 0>= APPROVED MAPS
~ The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
Section 1 Section 20-68 of Chapter 20, entitled °Subdivisions", of the Butte
Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 20-68. Extension Of Time.
The advisory agency may extend its approval for an additional period o~
periods not exceeding a total of sixty (60} months beyond expiration of the
initial period, setforth herein in Section 20-67 (a}, if the approval foi
extension of time is granted for good cause, and application far extension
of time is made prior to expiration of the approved or conditionally
approved map.
(1} An application for extension of time shall be reviewed by
advisory agency, which will determine whether the map pres+
conforms to the requirements of a tentative subdivision map.
(2) The advisory agency may approve an extension of time, approvE
with conditions, which cause the map to conform to present requirements
or disapprove.
(3} The decision of the advisory agency to disapprove an extension
films may be appealed to the board of supervisors within fifteen (15} d~
of the advisory agency's action.

{4) In the event that an approved tentative map is revised
subsequently approved by the advisory agency, the most rec
approved tentative map shall constitute the only recognized tentative
for further action in consideration of filing of the map.
Section 2 Severability.
If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or
circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof
shall not affect the remaining provisions or other applications of the Ordinance,
which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application thereof.
Section 3 Effective Date and Publication.
This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its passage. The
Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage. This
Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board
of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico enterprise ,
a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
