ORDINANCE NO. 3433 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22358) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering anc traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of fifty (SQ) miles per hover is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIlVIIT 50 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: SKYWAY, EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND LANES, FROM POTTER DRIVE TC 1.2 MILES EAST OF POTTER DRNE That a prima facie speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIlVIIT 55 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations an the hereinafter-described county highways to wit: SKYWAY, EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND LANES, FROM 1.2 MILES EAST OI POTTER DRIVE TO SKYWAY CROSSROAD ectian 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinanc are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, Page 1 z 3 a ' 5 6 s 4 1Q 11 12 13 14 15 l6 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 2fi 27 28 29 provision, section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inoperative or invalid. ~,.ection 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directec to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein within thirty (30} days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, i shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the carne, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
