The salaries and number of positions of the off cers and employees of the County of Butte are fixed and determined as hereinafter set forth, and this Ordinance shail be known as the "Salary Ordinance". Payment of salaries shall be made on the Thursday next succeeding the end of any pay period. Tf the salary payment date falls on a regularly scheduled County holiday, payment shall be made the preceding regularly scheduled work day. SECTION 71: REPEAL. Ordinance 3355, all ordinances making amendments thereto, and any and all other ordinances which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Salary Ordinance, are hereby repealed as of the effective date hereof. SECTION 72: SEVERABILITY. If any part of this ordinance shall be held void by a court of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this ordinance. SECTION 73: EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effective as of July 1, 1998; and, before the expiration of fifteen (15} days after its passage, a summary of this Ordinance shall be published in accordance with Government Code Section 25124(b}(1) giving notice of its adoption and including the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it. The new Salary Ordinance No. 3434 was introduced at the regulaz meeting of the Board on June 9, 199$, and adopted at the rEgular meeting on the Board on June 23, 1998. A certified copy of the full text of the adopted Salary Ordinance was posted in the Office of the Clerk of the Board at 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California, on June 1, 199$. Except for correction of typographical and technical errors, the renumbering of sections, and as otherwise indicated below, the substance of the proposed ordinance is the same as in Ordinance 3355, as amended. The following is a summary of the proposed ordinance: Section 1: Subject and Short Title. Identifies the subject of the ordinance as determining salaries and positions and that it shall be known as the "Salary Ordinance". Section 2 through 66:Allocated Positions.
