AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDENANCE N0.3437 OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, KNOWN AS THE "SALARY ORDINANCE"
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, DO ORDAIN as
follows:
Section 1 that Section No. 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte entitled
"REFERENCE A: APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS" is hereby amended by deleting
therefrom the following:

ASSIGNMENTS SET BY STATUTE" to "REFERENCED: ELECTED OFFICERS WITH
FLAT RATE ASSIGNMENTS SET BY STATUTE".
Section 5 that Section 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE D: SEVERANCE ACCRUAL FOR ELECTED
.OFFICIALS" to "REFERENCE E: SEVERANCE ACCRUAL FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS".
Section 6 that Section 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE E: APPOINTED OFFICIALS WITH BI-WWEKLY
RANGE ASSIGNMENTS" to "REFERENCE F: APPOINTED OFFICIALS WITH BI-
WWEKLY RANGE ASSIGNMENTS".
Section 7 that Section b9 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE F: APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS REPORTING
TO BUTTE COUNTY SUPERIOR AND MUNICIPAL COURTS" to "REFERENCE G:
AND MUNICIPAL COURTS".

Section 8 that Section 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE G: APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS
REPORTING TO THE BUTTE COUNTY AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT" to
"REFERENCE H: APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS REPORTING TO THE BUTTE
COUNTY AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT".
Section 9 that Section 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE H: APPOINTED OFFICIALS REPORTING TO BUTTE
COUNTY SUPERIOR AND MUNICIPAL COURTS" to "REFERENCE I: APPOINTED
OFFICIALS REPORTING TO BUTTE COUNTY SUPERIOR AND MUNICIPAL
f COURTS".
Section 10 that Section 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte is hereby
amended by re-titling "REFERENCE I: APPOINTED OFFICIALS REPORTING TO HE
BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS" to "REFERENCE J: APPOINTED
~ OFFICIALS REPORTING TO HE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS" and
~ deleting therefrom the following:

Section 11 The changes made by this ordinance shall be and are hereby made
retroactive to July 11, 1998, and shall be operative as of that date.

This ordinance shall take effect immediately as to those Appointed Officials included in
References A and J and shall take effect in 30 days as to those Elected Officers included in
Reference B pursuant to Section 123(fj of the Government Cade of the State of California; and
before e~cpiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published in a newspaper in
the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte this
1st day of September , 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, ,Tosiassen and Chair Davis
