AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.3437 OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE KNOWN AS THE "SALARY ORDINANCE"
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, DO ORDAIN as
follows:
Section 1 that Section No. 69 of Ordinance No. 3437 of the County of Butte entitled
"REFERENCE C: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS' MEMBERS" is hereby amended by deleting
therefrom the following:
Salary Bi-Weekly Monthly Annual Class Classification
Range Sam Equivalent Sataty Code Title
920 $421 $911 $10,934 240 Board of Supervisors' Member
and adding thereto the following:
Salary Bi-Weekly Monthly Annual Class Classifcation

*On 3uly 1 of each year after the effective date of this ordinance the salary of each member of
the Board of Supervisors shall be increased by that amount which is produced by multiplying
the then current salary of each member of the Board by the percentage increase of the salary for
increase in the salary of each member of the Board of Supervisors shall in no case exceed f ve
percent.

1 Pursuant to Government Code Section 25123.5, this ordinance shall take effect as of
2 November 14, 1998; and before expiration of fifteen (15} days after its passage, it shall be
3 published in a newspaper in the County of Butte, State of California.
4 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte this
5 1st day of September , 1998 by the following vote:
6 AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Chair Davis
7 NOES: Supervisors Beeler, Josiassen
