HomeMy WebLinkAbout34531 2 3 9 5 6 7 a 9 ~. o 11 12 13 14 J. 5 1s 17 1a 1s 20 21 zz 23 24 25 ............................................... . 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 3453 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING URGENCY ORDINANCE N0.3443 ENTITLED "AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING USE OF A COUNTY HIGHWAY BY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES EXCEEDING A GROSS WEIGHT OF 14,000 POUNDS" (Vehicle Code Section 3571" The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The State Highway 162 bridge across the Feather River was damaged causing the State to place load limits over the bridge. Commercial vehicles exceeding a gross weight of 14,000 pounds were using local County roads as a detour around the damaged bridge. The local County roads could not sustain vehicles of said weight without causing damage to the roads, and Ordinance 3443 was adopted prohibiting such use of said local roads until the State Highway 162 Bridge was replaced. However, satisfactory repair of the State Highway 162 Bridge, across the Feather River, has been completed and the purpose of the Urgency Ordinance No. 3443 has been fulfilled. SECTION 2: Repeal of Ordinance 3443. In view afthe findings set forth in Section I above, Urgency Ordinance No. 3443 is hereby repealed. SECTION 3: Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect in 30 days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this ordinance before the expiration of ffteen (1S} days after its passage.
