3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 36-5.1 OF CHAPTER 3b OF THE BUTTE
4 COUNTY CODE ENTITLED
5 "CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE IMPLEMENTATION"

7 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
8 follows:
9 Chapter 35-51 to the County Ordinance Code is amended to
10 exempt those a1l.ied police agencies which through computerized
11 systems perform all booking functions for which that agency is now
12 charged a criminal justice administrative {booking) fee, to read:
13 Section 1.
14 Section 3b-5.1A. Exemption from the Fee Imposed.
15 Section 36-5.1 shall not apply to an allied police agency
16 which has implemented and utilized a computerized Jail Management
17 System {JMS) for purposes of processing for booking and detention
18 every person arrested by such police agency. In such cases, the
19 fees as described in this Chapter shall be waived, or where
20 applicable, the fee may be reduced as provided by Government Code
21 Section 29550(x)(3).
22 Section 2. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be
23 in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the
2.4 date of _its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days....
25 after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the
26 names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
27 against it in the Chico Enterprise a newspaper
28 published in the County of Butte, State of California.
