HomeMy WebLinkAbout3502i x STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 35x2 3 a AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON s CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, 6 STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~ (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22358} $ ~ I The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as 9 follows: ~o Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering ant ~ 1 traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described come within the provisions of 12 Section 22358 of the Vehicle Cade of the State of California, in that the speed limit of fifty-five 13 (55) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and 14 declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows: 15 That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five {45} miles per hour is hereby determined, i6 declared and established and that SPEED LIlViIT 45 signs be placed at appropriate locations on i~ the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: is OROVILLE QUINCY HIGHWAY, FROM 1.73 MILES SOUTH OF BALD ROCK ~ 9 ROAD TO 0.19 MILES NORTH OF BALD ROCK ROAD as Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby a~ repealed. az Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinanc z3 are hereby declared independent and severable and,the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, za provision, section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the Zs same inoperative or invalid. _ _. a6 Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directe~ 27 to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein within ~$ thirty {30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, i ~n Page 1 1 2 3 4 s 6 7 8 a i0 11 12 13 l4 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2G 27 28 ~n shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
