AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY CODE SECTION 2-166 DELEGATING
INVESTMENT AUTHORITY TO THE BUTTE COUNTY TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
follows: Section 1. Butte County Code Section 2-166 is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 2-166. In~restment Authority.
(a) Delegation.
The County Treasurer is hereby delegated the authority for
Fiscal Year 1999-2000 to invest or reinvest the funds of
the County and the funds of other depositors in the County
treasury, pursuant to Chapter 4, (commencing with
Government Code Section 53600} of Part 7_ of Division 2 of
Title 5. The County Treasurer shall assume full.
responsibility for those transactions until this delegation
of authority is revoked by ordinance or expires at the end
of the 7.999-2000 fiscal. year. "
Section 2. Severability_
If any provision of this Ordinance ar the application thereof to
any person or circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed
severable, and the invalidity thereof shall. not affect the remaining
provisions ar other applications of the Ordinance which can be given
effect without the invalid provision or application thereof.
Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take

effect on July 1, 1999. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is
authorized and directed to publish this ordinance before the
expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage. This Ordinance
shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board
of Supervisors voting for and against it, in the Chico Enterprise a
newspaper of general. circulation published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisars of the County of
Butte, State of California, on the Sth day of dune ,
1.999, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, 3osiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
