2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VI, ENTITLED "WORK ALTERNATIVE
3 PROGRAM FEES", OF CHAPTER 3b, ENTITLED "INCARCERATION",
4 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE

6 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
7 California, ordains as follows:
8 Section 1. Article VI of Chapter 36 of the Butte County Cade to read
9 as follows:
10 "ARTICLE VI. WORK ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM FEES.
11 Section 36-50.
12 Pursuant to Penal Code Section 4024.2{e), there is hereby
established the following fees for the administration of
13 Butte County`s work alternative program:
14 {1) Initial implementation fee .................. $30.D0
{2) Daily program administration fee, per day... $ 6.0D
15 {3) Worker's compensation insurance premium fee..$10.00

These fees shall be based upon the offender's ability to pay.
17 Inability to pay shall not preclude participation in the work
alternative program."

Section 2. Findincrs. The Board of Supervisors hereby finds that the
19
fees as enacted by this ordinance do not exceed the pro rata cost of
20
administration of the Sheriff's work alternative program.

Section 3. Severability_ If any part of this ordinance or the
22
application thereof to any person or circumstances is for any reason
23
held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision
24
shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect
25
the remaining provisions or other applications of the Ordinance which
26
can be given effect without the invalid provision or application
27
thereof.

Section 4. Effective Date⢠Publication. This ordinance shall be
and is hereby declared to be in full force and effect 3a days from the
date of its passage. Within fifteen days of the date of its passage,
this ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of
the Board of Supervisors voting for axa.d against it in the
Chico Enterprise a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, on the 22nd day of June 1899,
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES : None
ABSENT : None
NOT VOTING : None
